Article Marketing and Search Engine Optimization

Good article content is vital for any website and will have more importance to getting your site listed in the major search engines than most other aspects of search engine optimisation, but having said that there are a few things that you can do to help things along just that little bit more smoothly.

Before looking at some search engine optimisation tips let’s just spend a few moments discussing how you should go about writing good article content.

Any article content that you write should be written in short easy to follow paragraphs as readers will quickly lose interest if you just publish a long page of text.

Check your spelling as there is nothing more annoying to a lot of readers than repeatedly finding spelling errors plus the fact that something as easy to correct as this if left undone will quickly ruin your reputation as a quality article writer.

Using the correct grammar when writing is also essential and if you are unsure about your ability to write correctly then an easy way to produce good articles is by using a simple piece of software like Microsoft Word.

Try to use simple to understand words as this will make reading your article so much more of a pleasure to any reader.

When writing your article content try to write with a little sense of humour if at all possible as many readers will enjoy this aspect rather than a long drawn out piece of text that comes over as being boring.

Construct your article content with a beginning which should be an introduction to the aspect of the topic you are writing about and then a middle section which should highlight points about the subject you are writing about, finishing with a summary about your article and the topic that you have been discussing.

Basic search engine optimisation tips would certainly include using the main keyword that refers to your article topic but remembering to only use it once for every one hundred words that you write although some people say that it is permissible to use it twice.

Try to use latent keywords which are other keywords that are associated with your main keyword and as an example of this you might be writing about dogs and a latent keyword could be dog leads or dog bowl.

We will look further into search engine optimisation tips in more articles that I plan to write over the course of the next few days.
